Originally I was planning to sell in summer, as the nicer weather will show off the place better.

But I'm wondering if I should bring it forward, as there's inflation, interest rate rises, which will likely slow and already slow Wellington market. And the predicted El Niño weather guess may make Wellington summer average anyway.

It a 2bed stand alone house in Johnsonville Wellington.

The house is currently rented, and I held it thinking I would move back to Wellington but that seems unlikely now.

Thoughts on pros & cons either way?

I remember being at an event with a past mayor as guest speaker. They mentioned that when they ran for mayor, the other candidates campaigned on better roads (ie infrastructure) and they campaigned on making Wellington cool so people would want to visit.

Is there a particular person, era, or governance trend, that got us here? Or has it always been bad?
