A job i was looking forward to starting got pulled out from under me because I asked if it would be possible for the company (a startup) to pay for my health coverage until they get a company health plan in place. I was more than willing to pay for it out of pocket (and said so), but instead, I got an email that they are "reconsidering the role." I think i just got saved from a big mess because the original title of the job i applied for was changed when i got the offer letter, but the description was the same. Anyone who is this indecisive should not be messing with people's lives like this. Is recinding offers the new thing now? I've heard a few people online say it's happened to them (with diff. scenarios of course).
