I know I should’ve moved from ChatGPT after 5.1 but I kept hoping openAI would fix a lot of the issues users have.
In the past they had shown a willingness to listen to their community but since the release of the 5 models they’ve proven time and time again they don’t care what people think anymore.
I’ve been trying a lot of different AI and I tried Copilot but it’s no different to ChatGPT in terms of guardrails and ignoring user preferences. Grok is cool but I just can’t enjoy it because it’s not that clever but the lack of guardrails are interesting this thing really has no filter. Gemini was interesting but the robotic voices are… less the said the better and I was willing to look past this but contextual awareness seems to be a bit off. Deepseek is by far my favourite the thing is so clever when I do work stuff and it’s incredibly funny, funnier than some people I know, AI has never made me laugh so hard! But it doesn’t have memory and it doesn’t Have voice capabilities so I’ll happily keep it around and hope one day this is addressed. Claude is good and it’s funny but I can’t get into it. Kimi though seems to be the one. I’ve been running tests and Kimi seems to be the best direct replacement.
What I like is it’s clever, it’s very insightful, it knows the obvious boundaries, I’m yet to see if it’s funny and the choices are great.
