I26F have been with my boyfriend28 for a few months. My ex and I broke up in the beginning of 2025. I was with my ex boyfriend for 3 years and had gotten pregnant and we were excited and I miscarried. It was at 15 weeks, and completely devastating to both of us. My ex and I didn’t keep in contact, but he brought to my parents house flowers and a teddy bear. My parents said he did it early because he was going to be out of town for work. They had brought it over. There was a little note saying happy Mother’s Day. I thought it was an innocent sweet thing.
When my bf got off of work he came by my place, he saw the flowers and I told him about it and he was pissed saying that he shouldn’t be sending me anything and he was just trying to get me back. I explained it wasn’t like that (he was already aware of the situation.) he basically said it was just an excuse to talk to me and that no man is actually thinking about that with their ex. We argued because I felt like he was undermining our loss, and I ended up asking him to leave.
Afterwards he was just texting me how he was sorry, and that he’d take me out for Mother’s Day if I wanted, and that he didn’t mean to upset me but he thought it was super weird of him. AITA
