Hi all, hoping someone with CAD skills can help me out with a small edit I've been struggling to do myself.
I designed a clock corner piece in Tinkercad. The shape is mostly there, but I want to modify the top outline — specifically cut off a corner section that I can't seem to do cleanly in Tinkercad because of the sloped/curved top surface.
I tried importing into Onshape and editing it there, but the mesh-to-solid workflow on the free plan is more than I want to take on for this one edit.
What I have:
- STL file (also have a STEP version converted from the STL — happy to send whichever is easier to work with)
- Screenshots of the current part from multiple angles
- A clear picture showing exactly what corner I want removed
What I need:
- That corner cut off cleanly, matching the existing slope of the top surface
- File sent back as STL (and STEP too if possible, in case I want to edit further later)
Happy to share files via DM, Google Drive, or wherever is convenient. This is for a personal project, not commercial.
Tagging this as a small/quick edit — shouldn't take more than a few minutes for someone who knows what they're doing. Really appreciate any help, and happy to return the favor in whatever way I can.
Thanks!
