Need help setting gear train bridge
Hi everyone, after feeling comfortable taking apart and assembling an ST36 I took the next steps and bought a couple of watches from FB market place. I imagine that I made the mistake many have made and ended up getting some watches with very small movements. The first one I decided to work on was a Benrus GF1D2.
I have taken the movement apart, cleaned it in an ultrasonic with L&R solutions, replaced the mainspring which was broken, and have started the reassembly. I am finding putting the gear train bridge on impossible. 80% of the time the escape wheel won’t go into the upper pivot, the other 20% the escape wheel goes in but the 3rd wheel misses the pivot.
If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear!
