Hey everyone! My husband and I have decided to try for a baby, but I have an 11 year history of fertility issues with absent and sporadic periods. Lately, I’ve been getting a period every other month around the 10th day of the month (March 9, January 15, etc.,) and I skip every other month, so April I did not have a period. Friday and Saturday I experienced extremely light spotting, I thought my period was starting. It was super light spotting (pink) when I peed, and sometimes tissue (not really blood clots?) would come out when I peed. Then I had the dark brown discharge sometimes during those two days, and then it completely stopped. Thought that was weird, as I know I am not pregnant (4 BFN’S), so I thought “maybe I am ovulating?”
I am on 500mg of Metformin, and ordered some of the clear blue digital ovulation tests. Last night, May 4, it showed an empty circle (low fertility) around 6pm. Tonight, around 7pm, it was a flashing smiley face. How accurate are these tests? Am I actually ovulating? I am so happy if I am, but I also have a prescription to letrozole to pick up tomorrow from the pharmacy and start taking for 5 days. Should I still take this medicine? I’ve never had a baby before, so this is all foreign territory for me. I just would like some advice from people that have experienced the same and/or similar issues.
