Femi Jiya

Did Femi appear anywhere else besides Batman and Rainbow Children as Prince’s engineer?

I heard that he engineered on Lovesexy but only on the singles for it tho so other than that I don’t know much about him engineering for Prince besides Batman(plus the B-Sides &Scandalous Sex Suite)and Rainbow Children.

What is Reality

Hi There

What’s the thoughts on What’s Reality?

I haven’t seen the riddler episodes in a while but I do remember this one being the best one especially with some of its animation like that inside the computer scene.

A good all around story is especially for a Rogue and it’s just so good when it’s dealing with a VR like concept especially when the score is soo good by Shirley Walker I believe

David on Dave Cavett,1974

Bowie entering his Young Americans era but good he could briefly discuss Diamond Dogs 💎 It is sad that he’s coked out of his mind and he’s all jittery(plus rubs his cane) which cracked actor just dives more into this but this is a sneak peek per say :(

Lon Chaney:The Man with Thousand Faces

Hi There

Lon Chaney the master of makeup 🎭

Is there a film of his that showcases his talent and his ability to transform into something great with his makeup?

There’s Hunchback of Notre Dame and Phantom but is there any others from his filmography that fit this?

John Lennon on Queen

Many of you probably know that Queen idolized Beatles and that Freddie Mercury considered John Lennon to be his greatest mentor. And also that Queen even dedicated a song to John Lennon (Life is Real).

However, Queen also influenced John Lennon. Especially "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". In 1980, after a 5 year hiatus, John decided to come back to music and mentioned explicitly this song as his inspiration. He declared in an interview that "I started noticing what was happening when Queen did the Elvis-sounding tune... I thought: 'This is my period again."

In one of his final and most famous interviews (conducted by David Sheff for Playboy in September 1980), Lennon addressed Beatles fans who were stuck in the past. He urged them to look at what was happening in the current music scene: "Listen to the Beatles records, but dig Queen or Clash or whatever is going on now." John acknowledged Queen as his continuators, which meant a lot for Queen, as Roger Taylor later declared.

However, Lennon first talked about Queen in 1975. He said that his son, Julian, liked them:

"Julian likes Queen... I've heard of them. I've seen the guy... the one who looks like Hitler playing a piano? No? Julian says, 'Have you seen Queen?' and I say, 'What's Queen?' and then he tells me. His age group is hipper to music."

Also, I think it is funny that John's first description of Freddie was "the guy who looks like Hitler playing a piano". (he was talking about Sparks, my mistake).

H.M Buff

Hi There

What’s the opinions on HM Buff and his time with Prince?

Besides Peggy Mac and Susan Rogers,HM Buff is my favorite engineers that worked out Prince where Rave might be my favorite album they worked on but so many other songs and albums outside his own albums that he worked on.

Love the tracks he engineered on Emancipation and Crystal Ball plus musicology and 20Ten have 3 total songs that he worked on which are great with Million Days being the best imo.

Also I do love how he typed all the linear notes for the albums he worked on :) Which I found out from a great interview from Casey Rain.NewPower Soul,Come 2 My House, and GCS 2000 also have him credited too.I believe Chocolate Invasion has HM buff engineered songs but not credited to my knowledge.
