What is happening in front of us is not “preference” or “choice.” It is adults, in positions of authority, getting involved with minors. Yi chi exploitation. Ti chi abuse.
For a long time, many of us brushed these things off as rumors. Stories passed around, things we weren’t sure about. But that phase is over. There is too much being seen, too much being shared: proofs, recordings, chats. Whether every single case is true or not no longer matters. The pattern is real, and it is growing.
A 15-year-old being involved with a 30+ adult is not a “relationship.” It is manipulation. A minor cannot consent. A teacher, a coordinator, anyone in a position of influence knows exactly what they are doing when they cross that line.
And the most dangerous part? Silence. Normalization. Looking the other way because it’s uncomfortable to confront.
This cannot continue.
