I just wanted to share my experience for those who might attend in the future since information was pretty sparse when I looked last week. Firstly, attend on Friday or Sunday if you can. The lines are by far the shortest on these days, particularly Friday. A 2 hour wait on a Saturday turned into a 15 minute wait for the same guest the next day. The VIP queues are usually empty on Sundays, which contributed to the shorter wait.

Secondly, purchasing a ticket online for an autograph is optional unless there’s limited spots, which only applies for the most popular guests & photo ops. Check the online listing for availability. It’ll say if it’s limited. Purchasing online will give you a QR code that’ll have to be scanned AT THE EVENT in exchange for a ticket that you’ll have to hand to the guest’s assistant. However, most guests accept credit cards or cash at the table. You can save yourself some tax $ if you pay via cash. Again, some signings and photo ops are limited, and you should buy a presale ticket if so. The pricing is inconsistent however. The base price for an autograph was sometimes cheaper at the table. Also, there are no separate lines for presale buyers.

Thirdly, guests frequently leave autograph signings for photo ops and panels. This could take as long as 1 - 2 hours, so be prepared to sit in a stagnant line for a duration if you attend midday. Generally, best time to get on line for autographs is either very early in the day or later in the day. Check your guest’s schedule when planning.

Finally, badge pick up is at the BACK of the venue. For those who are using ride share, the default drop off is at the western most portion of the South Hall building, which puts you at a 10 - 15 minute walk from the badges. If you can, have yourself or someone dropped off at the easternmost part of the convention center to save yourself the trouble. Your ride share app will likely prevent you from manually placing a drop off point at the easternmost part of the venue, so you’ll have to give your driver verbal instructions.
