Fuel Protests and Far Right (Final Part)

Hey peeps.

Last day I posted my genuine concern about the Far Right highjacking the fuel protest.

Now with more and more videos of who is supporting and how it is playing out - it’s sure that there has been a considerable support / highjack from the far right. (For the moment Im not counting Independent Ireland as far right)

Here are my two cents on this. Just posting for discussion.

  1. There were genuine people who were worried about the fuel cost and wanted to protest.

But far right - who wants to “Get them (govt) out” saw this opportunity and latched on to it.

Philip Dwyer and co were interviewing the protestors and its funny - few were blaming IPAS centres, Ukrainians. I didn’t say anyone criticising Trump or Israel.

  1. There were videos of Michelle Keane (Kerry Trump Woman), Elaine Mullally et al, attending a meeting and planning the protests, someday last week. So provably far tight carefully and meticulously planned on joining this.

  2. Now that there are reports of ceasefire being broken and strait is closed again - this war might go a long way. Whatever decision the govt takes - far right will claim the victory. They joined the protest claiming that they are with the working class. Ken O Flynn, Gavin Pepper, Derek Blighe, Mullally - no one gives a damn about the rising costs, they only want the crisis to worsen so that they can hang on to this bandwagon. Malachy Steenson recently said he wants to see the crash again in Ireland. They dont want the problems to be solved. Back to my point about Far right being the winners here. If govt does any tax rebate - they will take the victory and if it doesn’t - they will portray them as the alternative for the current govt.

  3. A huge amount of this week’s protest was planned through facebook. Unfortunately I am using facebook (I cant delete it as Im member of few different wonderful communities / groups in it). So yah Facebook. Every time there is a debate on immigration / asylum - most comments would be - “shut the whole country down and ask for a referendum” & “do it like the French”.

Now that they found this kinda protest is working, do you think going forward we will be seeing these kinda protest for anything and everything?

  1. Last point - many were arguing in my last post about Sinn Fein and PBP supporting the cause and why they ain’t branded as far right. There is a video out where Paul Murphy (PBP) who supports this protest tried to talk to the protestors and he was accosted near the O’Connell bridge. Far right dont care about the support from Sinn Fein and PBP.

Posting for genuine discussion guys. Again - wholehearted support for genuine protestors who don’t do any complete blockade.!!!

What are your thoughts on this and what is the end game?

Sky TV Ireland - HBO MAX

Anyone from Ireland who is in the same boat as me?

So I use SKY TV essential and Im watching Sopranos and other Sky Atlantic shows. So Sopranos moved to HBO max and when I open my playlist - it redirects me to HBO Max. I cannot use it as HBO MAX isn't included in Sky essential. I still can watch it by pressing 'Continue watching option. But My skip ads button is gone (I pay for skip ads and I had a youtube like skip ads button on screen. Now shows which moved to hbo max doesn't have that - I have to fast forward it.) Anyone else in same boat?

Fuel protests and the Far Right

First of all, I support the genuine protest from the people of Ireland. There were a lot who are sincerely worried about the inflation and how it affect their businesses.

At the same time, many, including the organisers, were right wing (Independent Ireland) and far right groups like “random Irish town” says no, Ken O Flynn, Elaine Mulally, Clan Eireann, We are Cork, and many facebook groups like “Ireland rising from Ashes”.

Im now kinda worried if this is a larger plot of American Influence on Ireland. Clan Eireann has more branches in US than Ireland (yah I follow them on Facebook). What I felt about today was a genuine protest was highjacked by the far right who needs to shut the country down for anything and everything.

Any thoughts peeps?
