I’m looking for some advice on a career pivot. I’m 29, based in Ahmedabad, and have 12 years of total work experience. I spent 9 years in various professional roles (started working at 17) and the last 3 years as an entrepreneur building my own ventures.

I’m currently looking into the CIPM (Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement) from the CFA Institute. I don't have a traditional graduation degree (Diploma holder), but I meet the CFA Institute’s professional experience requirements for entry.

A few questions for the community:

Freelance/Part-time: Is there a market for freelance GIPS (Global Investment Performance Standards) compliance or performance verification for Indian PMS/AIF firms?

Project Management: With 12 years of total experience (including 3 years as a founder), can I realistically target Investment Operations Project Manager roles in places like GIFT City after clearing the CIPM?

Value for Founders: Does this certification provide a strong enough "technical stamp" to help a non-degree holder land high-ticket consulting or management roles in finance?

The Reality Check: Who I Am

I want to be upfront: I am not a polished corporate executive or a "serial entrepreneur" with a string of exits. I am a learner. I’ve spent 9 years working in various challenging environments, with the last 3 years focused entirely on entrepreneurship. I don’t have a degree—just a basic diploma—but I have spent those years immersed in profound, ground-level R&D.

I’m not an "idea guy" looking for someone to do the work. I am a believer in doing the unbelievable through obsessive research and testing, even if I haven't reached the "major execution" phase on a global scale just yet.

The Vision: India to the World

Most of these projects are built with a "Make in India for the World" philosophy. The goal isn't just to solve local problems, but to export Indian innovation and manufacturing leverage to the global stage.

No Ceiling: These projects are designed for maximum expansion. I am building them with an architecture that allows for growth without a structural ceiling.

Beyond Market Gaps: This portfolio isn't just about "fixing a problem." It's engineered around deep insights into global consumer behavior, future health needs, and leveraging current geopolitical shifts to create long-term moats.

The Strategy (Revenue First)

I am not looking for a massive investment to fund all six projects at once.

My roadmap is methodical:

Phase 1: Launch the first flagship project and generate initial revenue.

Phase 2: Utilize that traction to avail of government loans and startup grants.

Institutional Support: I have already built a network within the Ahmedabad University startup cell and am eager to connect with other institutional support systems.

What I’m Looking For

I am looking for a versatile partner or investor who has the experience to help me navigate the transition from R&D to the global market. I need someone who understands the "long game" of a venture studio and can provide the strategic guidance to secure future commitments for the remaining 5 projects once the first one proves its metal.

Furthermore, I am a collaborator at heart. While I am dedicated to this portfolio, I am always open to connecting and working on other visionary projects if there is a strong synergy.
