I found out my hotel room was $500 cheaper just two days before my trip

I’m honestly so frustrated right now and just needed to vent. I booked a hotel in Zurich for a week-long stay this summer, and because I wanted to be organized, I locked everything in back in February. I paid about $2,100 for the week, thinking I was getting ahead of the summer rush.

Two days ago, I was double-checking the address on their website and decided to look at the current rates out of curiosity. The exact same room type for my exact dates was now listed for $1,600. I couldn't believe it I was basically paying a $500 penalty for no reason.

I called the front desk and then the corporate customer service line, and it was a total brick wall. They kept telling me that since I booked a specific promotional rate, they couldn't adjust the price or refund the difference. I even asked if they could just give me hotel credit for the spa or the restaurant, but they wouldn't budge. It feels like total robbery to see the price drop that much and have no way to get your money back. Does anyone know if there’s an AI or a tool that monitors these hotel price drops and actually handles the refund or re-booking for you? I’m never booking manually again if I can avoid it.

Been testing both for about 2 weeks now and cant decide. My team needs solid cell numbers for our outbound, were doing about 300-400 dials a day accross 3 SDRs.

Swor͏dfish seems to have decent coverage but im seeing some stale numbers. Like I called 20 people yesterday and 4 were disconnected. Thats 20% waste right there. Pro͏speo's numbers seem fresher but I havent done enough volume to really know yet.

Anyone here run both phone number͏ finder tools side by side? Main things I care about:

  • Actual connect rates on mobile numbers (not just "we found a number")
  • Pricing at scale (we'll probably need 5-10k numbers monthly)
  • How often they update thier database
  • Coverage for tech companies specifically

Also curious if either has good A͏PI speeds. We're using Outr͏each and want to pull numbers on demand rather than batch enriching everthing.

Price-wise Prospeo seems way better value but wondering if that means the data quality suffers. Swordfish is like 2-3x more expensive from what I can tell. We also looked at Conta͏ctOut briefly but thier mobile number coverage was pretty thin for our ICP.
