First game as a goalie complete

First off I want to thank everybody that’s giving me recommendations on what to do pregame. I am feeling really good for somebody that took as many shots as I did for my first hockey game as a goalie. My hips are a little bit sore, but honestly, I feel like if I didn’t take into a lot of you guys said into consideration, I would be a hell of a lot more sore. Other than experience as a goalie in soccer and a catcher, I don’t really have much hockey goalie experience but the game I played. I went in five goals over 90 shots roughly we played for about two hours. I will probably always have a place in my heart for being a player in hockey but being a goalie was definitely a different breed of fun and I’m probably gonna stick with that for in line and ball hockey and stay as a player for ice hockey, unless somebody really needs a goalie, then I will hop in. Also, for anybody that’s sore the day after and doesn’t really have many viable solutions pickle juice is one hell of a way to help being sore for the next day after the game. Truth be told I already plan on getting some new goalie gear like a new glove and blocker and chest pad.

Edit : i’m not claiming to be a natural or good at hockey at all. This was a drop-in ball hockey game so everybody was different skill levels.

Hi goalies, just outa curiosity where’s the best place to start playing goalie? I’m currently (as we speak) getting ready to go to my first ball hockey game as a goalie and Saturday debating on going to my learn to play to practice as a player or a goalie. I’m also gonna be going to my first inline game as a goalie next weekend but idk if and what a good one to start is in all reality. Any tips are well helpful and TYIA

Also here’s the shown stuff. The chesty is in my bag but it’s just a warrior chesty from play it again and tbh I already want a new one bc this one is loose asf lol. Got the Bauer GSX skates and for inline tronx goalie skates.

I’m extremely new to being a goalie and hockey in genera. I play foward on ice but for inline I’d been enjoying being a goalie even tho I suck. But I notice in a lot of videos I’ve watched that goalies are missing 2nd to rear wheel. As seen as in photo. What’s up with that? My goalie skates have 5 and I want to do whatever I can to improve. Is there some kinda advantage and disadvantage to it?

And I know realistically I should get good at being a regular player before I hop into goalie stuff however my friend had extra gear and let me use his stuff during our pickups. Now I have my own gear and am hooked.

Has anybody made sliders for themselves for their pads? Just curious due to the fact I’m being cheap and don’t want to shovel an extra 150-250$ for legit ones. If so how would you reccomend making them. I’m fairly crafty at handy work but when it comes to actually finding the right material I’m down trodden. Was thinking about getting pvc boards and cutting them then cutting some plastic balls or wood balls or something and glueing them. If yall have ideas I would love to hear it.

Hi yall just curious, with the Marsblade 02T2 skates, I want it to rock a little bit more. When it comes to adjusting it do I NEED add on rockers or can I just unscrew the center bolt a little bit?
