Hello everyone, Australian here. This all mostly happened in NSW. I am 34, not sure what to do about this..

LONG story short, my parents didn't take care responsibility and care of me during my childhood(parents seperated early), when one parent had enough "dealing" with me I would have to fly on a plane by myself to the other parent until they got sick of me, that type of nature. I have epilepsy that was recently diagnosed (7 weeks ago) which caused serious life threatening injuries, I went to the local library to print a form when I suddenly seized and collapsed and slammed my head through a bookshelf causing a fractured skull, bleeding multiple locations on my brain and a TBI, I then seized 2x more times after that where I was immediately rushed to hospital where I was put on life support, the works. Diagnosis of tonic-clonic generalised epilepsy and TBI was given, a list of pain and side effects including memory loss was also documented.

Since the injury, I have constant issues with walking, balance, appetite, sleep, pain, physical movement. I am also currently in the process of testing for marfan syndrome which I show every sign of(even as a kid. Long, slender, skinny, arms longer than my height, raised roof pallet etc). Another major symptom was overcrowded teeth which I had and both my parents were informed of by the school dentist in the N.T when I was 10, and told that I needed teeth removed and braces to straighten my other teeth but no effort was made. At age 17 I was told to kicked to the streets where I spent over a decade struggling with accommodation which also effected my jobs..

This has all caused years of issues and pain, broken teeth, and much more. Question is, were my parents responsible for diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy and marfan(if I have it) as well as my dental issues? I personally feel like I was neglected and thrown away once they had enough.

Do you think they failed Duty of Care?

I have spoken to other people about this but they acted like I should just get over it.. am I wrong? Anyone have more information I could use?
