Hi everyone,

I’m an Australian currently looking into the possibility of relocating my family to Denmark in the next few years and hoping to get some honest advice from people already living and working there.

We’re a family of 4 with 2 young kids, so lifestyle is a pretty big factor for us. We’re trying to find somewhere with a good mix of

• coastal
• family friendly
• good schools/community
• reasonable work opportunities

We have done some research but definitely open to suggestions. A few things I’d love some insight on:

• How realistic is it to find English-speaking roles in these industries? My wife and I would learn Danish in preparation though.
• Are there particular companies/recruiters that are good for internationals?
• How hard is it getting established without fluent Danish initially? More specifically for my kids who are still young.

If it assist, I currently work as a Project Manager and would likely be looking for roles in Joinery / Fitout / Ceilings & Partitions / Shopfitting. My wife is a high school teacher.
