Me and my wife have been separated for 5 months, and I’ve been out of the house for a month. We have a 2 year old son and she has a pre teen daughter that stays with her. The reason she wanted to separate is because my financial situation isn’t the best and she feels she rather do it alone than to be with me. Now that I’ve been out of the house she still wants me to contribute to the household because she can’t afford it alone. I’m pretty much homeless now trying to get on my feet but still get my son when I can and I buy groceries and clothes. I’ve told her to tell me what my son needs and I’ll get it but she insists on asking for money flat out. How do I navigate her asking for money, am I wrong for not wanting to contribute financially to her and her daughter when that’s the reason she wanted me to leave?
