AITAH for not wanting my child to be posted on social Media ?
I 23 Female and my boyfriend 23 Male made the decision when I was pregnant to not post pictures our child on social media for a number of reasons. Since then my parents have argued with me over it claiming that “I’m hiding them” and they “find it strange” and they want to “show off their grandchild”. Fast forward to this morning and I have woken up to a picture of my baby posted on social media by my father and again I was asked why and told that his account is private so why does it matter (he has 1200 friends on Facebook so not very private at all) I feel like as a mother it is my decision as to wether my child gets posted on social media my reasons are that they are literally a baby and cannot decide for themselves if they want to be posted on social media another reason is that I have seen some horror stories of peoples children’s pictures being turned into AI pornography. Myself and my partner aren’t that active on social media I haven’t posted anything on social media in well over a year and I don’t plan to either and my partner isn’t on social media at all. Due to housing struggles myself and my baby live with my parents so they think that they have a say in my decision when it comes to my child and I feel like they have crossed a massive boundary doing this when they have been strictly asked not to. After asking for a 4th time, the picture is still up and I am livid. So Reddit, am I the asshole?
