30 years old, struggling financially in France, and looking for advice
I’m currently doing a master’s degree in France and I’m honestly feeling very overwhelmed about my situation.
To study here, I took out a loan with very high interest rates. My mom was helping me financially, but recently her work hours were reduced, so things have become much harder.
Right now, my biggest problem is that I still haven’t been able to find an internship, which I need in order to graduate. My French level is basic-intermediate, and I think that has been limiting my opportunities.
I’m trying to stay realistic and keep moving forward, but I feel stuck and unsure about what steps I should take next.
Has anyone been in a similar situation as an international student in Europe/France?
How did you manage financially or improve your chances of finding an internship/job?
I’d really appreciate practical advice, career suggestions, or even encouragement from people who managed to turn things around.
