So this happened in the last semester during my lab-fat.
There were some instructions that were given to us during the lab-fat. We had to write down the stuff, get it checked by the phd scholar/faculty and then execute it on the desktops.
There was one Telugu student who was sitting right besides me. He had the same questions as me but he sat down besides me because his computer was not working.
Anyway, I had finished with my writing and I called the PHD scholars and the faculty (who I may not name, yet) but no one seemed to gaf. And because of that, the time was almost up. Like, we had 10 minutes left before the fat was over, yet no one seemed to bother checking my paper. So I decided that I will execute the programs beforehand so as to not waste any more time of the faculties.
Apparently the guy next to me also had the same idea. So, he also started executing beforehand because there was no time left.
Now here's where it gets interesting. The faculty FINALLY comes to our table at the last moment and sees that both of us have written in the paper without getting checked and executed on the desktop. She checked the guy's paper and let him go. It was my turn. When she found out that I had already executed on the desktop without getting my paper checked she questioned me as to why I did what I did.
???????????
The guy besides me did the same thing, with the same questions assigned yet you let him go???
I couldn't stand this unfairness. I told her this and she asked, "what is my reg no?" I was left with no choice so I told her that. I was, of course, penalized. I got 15 marks less than what i was supposed to get. The questions were so damn easy ffs.
Now sure, I could have stayed quiet and arguably that would have been a smarter move but I was sick of begin treated with unfairness.
TL;DR, I got fucked over by an impulsive thing I HAD to do because I was left with no choice and I had to pay the price while the other guy who did the same thing I did faced no consequences because he was the same race as the faculty.
