Honestly, how good is the teaching quality for JMC, that is maths and computing, at Imperial? I have been hearing mixed reviews.
How well does Imperial JMC set you up for academia in computer science or maths later on or is it too career focused?

I have read that Imperial JMC has decent career prospects but how well does the course prepare you for further academic study, for example a Masters/PhD in theoretical computer science or maths? Would you stand a chance at getting into Oxford/Cambridge computer science Masters from Imperial JMC?
I also noticed that JMC stands for joint maths and computer science whereas all the other courses department of computing courses at Imperial are labelled as computing. What on earth is the difference between computing and computer science, if any?
