Contract of employment - pay query
Hello, I was hoping that someone could please help me. I am employed on a fixed term contract by an external company and seconded into the civil service to a position that is equivalent to a grade which the pay scale begins at €41k. I am being paid €32k as per my contract, but I'm wondering if it is right that I am paid 75% for the same work than if I have been employed directly. I know that my position is part of a client relationship arrangement and that other secondment positions with the company are also paid €32k. I am not sure if the company are billing the civil service for my work. I also know that other incoming temporary officers which have been hired directly are paid at the €41k part of the pay scale. Is it worth flagging this and if so should I speak to the HR recruitment in the company or to my manager in the civil service?
