Hi!

I’m a current junior in high school and obviously college is the one thing on everyone’s mind at this point of year and frankly I’m panicking a little but so some advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve wanted to go to William & Mary from the moment I found out about their Join Degree Program with Saint Andrew’s, earlier this year, especially because I’m not sure if I could commit completely to attending school abroad, but I have always been interested in the idea and I think this is definitely a good way to immerse myself in a different environment that I really like (I visited Scotland and loved it).

Basically I’ll list out what my stats are looking like & then any advice for the program and application cycle is greatly appreciated, especially if I can contact you with follow up questions as the application season starts!

stats:

Unweighted GPA: 3.82

Weighted GPA: 4.21

AP Courses:

Sophomore Year - 2 (AP US History & AP Physics 1)

Junior Year - 6 (AP Physics C: E&M and Mechanics, AP Government & Politics, AP Calculus AB, AP European History, AP Language & Composition)

Senior Year (Assumption-Based) - 4 (AP Literature, AP Statistics, AP Economics (Micro & Macro))

Dual Enrollment:

- Comparative Politics

- Classical Civilizations

- Chinese

- Statistical Analysis

- Psychology

- Calculus 1

IB Courses:

- IB Global Politics

SAT: 1480 (760 Reading/720 Math)

ACT: Taking this in the summer

Some other EC’s

- Playing the Cello for 7 Years

- Field Hockey

- Track & Field

- A women in STEM based internship where I teach underprivileged girls in elementary schools STEM skills & encourage them towards the sciences

- I also work a job

Clubs

- President of Speech & Debate

- (Hopefully - I’m campaigning right now) President of Student Council

- Captain of the Writing Club

- Co-Leader of my schools new program

- Member of NHS

- Member of our Asian Youth Program

I really want to go for International Relations or History (More IR), but I’m not sure if my application has a good enough spike yet or not… because I’ve always been a bit all over the place since I love learning everything and in any subject possible

I’m also Asian, and not first gen and am most importantly out of state, however financially we are well-off enough that i’m not super concerned about aid just yet…
