The director doesn't even know that we don't have our own ambulance and no ambulance comes at night.
This happens when we don't have a permanent director, our director is also the director of VNIT.

So guys,
Various things are happening these days in our college,
So let me just come to the point directly:
The college has 2 months to complete our *basic* requirements or start completing them:
• A Dia student wakes up early and gets ready to move to classes. They invest approx 1 hr for transportation and the pain of the means of transport is different. How is it fair that a student living in the hostel wakes up 15 mins before classes instead of a Dia hostel student waking up according to the bus timings? How can a student manage sleep, study, commute time, and weakness at the same time?
• I am not a Dia hosteller, but I feel it is really wrong that even with fewer facilities, being far from college, and being unable to attend fests... the fees at Dia are higher than the college hostel fees.
• Food: This can be explained better by the Dia hostellers themselves.
If a student is facing all the above problems daily, then how will he invest time in himself?
If the college knows that they don't have accommodation for students, then why are they adding more and more seats year by year?
In 2022, when we moved to our permanent campus, we had approx 250 seats, which was the totally correct amount of seats our hostel could have accommodated. But today we admit 650+ students without even having a hostel. Why?
Why did they increase seats if they don't have sufficient classrooms and hostel rooms?
• Water facilities: Why is the drinking water in the academic building still the same as the water we use for bathing, totally unfit for drinking?
• Health:
Why is there not a quick response team for mishaps like today's?
Why is the doctor available for 1-2 hrs only? Why isn't there a permanent doctor for accidental mishaps?
There is no medical store. If a student has a severe issue at midnight, where can he find the required medicine? Since we are out of the city, we should have a 24*7 medical facility.
The counsellor should be very easy to reach, but most of us haven't ever seen the face of the counsellor.
What I think:
The college has 2 months either to provide the above basic requirements or to start the process required to make it possible.
What we should do :
After our end sem we should mail authorities for all the above requests...
After year break, when we reach to hostel, We should observe our college for 10 days, if we feel changes are happening then Good, if not then there should be a definite protest.
Today, at 4:30 AM we lost a fellow hosteller, a student a senior and moreover, A human.
The heartbreaking incident happened today and the least we can do about it is to mourn the way it happened.
If every single person can't unite for this, what will we unite for?
Let us gather to mourn, to support each other, and to honor the memory of *********** who was one of us, at 7:30pm.
Ask your roommates, friends to come because Your presence truly matters. ❤️🩹
