We had originally planned a wedding in Cyprus with immediate family and a few friends. Our plans had to be cancelled after the island was bombed and our guests no longer felt safe traveling (a lot of connecting flights in the Middle East.)
We had to pivot pretty quickly and settled on getting married in Vegas by Elvis. We were only out the cost of my dress + the deposit, so roughly $4k. I also intend to sell my dress since I never got to wear it. The dress has a massive train and is quite heavy, so not really fitting for Vegas.
The Vegas wedding was incredible! We hired the photographer at the little white chapel as well as a professional and got some fantastic shots. The wedding was also filmed so our family got to see the ceremony as well. We finished the night off with all our friends as Barry’s Steakhouse for a reception dinner- I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
Cost breakdown:
Little White Wedding Chapel- $1000 with photographs and video
Pro photographer- Chelsa Christensen: $650
Dinner- $1800 for 14 with gratuity
Suit- (already purchased for our previously planned event) $1500
Dress and bolero: $400 House of CB and Anthropology
Hair and makeup- Daisy at Las Vegas Hair and Makeup: $250
Hotel: $700
