Name etiquette on save the dates and invites
I'm getting ready to send my save the dates and it just occurred to me that I may not be doing this correctly.
Do you always use someone's full name on a STD/invite? Or do you address it by their nickname?
I just realized that in the 20+ years I have known some of my mother's friends, they have always been "Kathy" or "Bob." Should I send it to "Kathy and Bob Smith," or should I reach out to confirm whether Kathy is short for Catherine or Katherine?
Also, in 2026, are you still addressing your married friends as "Mrs. Jane Doe and Mr. John Smith?" Or is it okay to use "Ms." and/or drop the titles to say "Jane Doe and John Smith." I ask because it feels SO weird to call my friends "Mrs." when I've never heard them refer to themselves as "Mrs."
