My Hope for the Offseason

Now that the playoffs are over for us, we can sit back and watch without clenched butts.

Here are my hopes for this offseason:

- First and foremost, Michkov gets hungry. Let me rephrase: Michkov gets hungry for more competitive hockey. I think this summer he focuses on his conditioning - sheds a few pounds of fat while adding some muscle. I also hope him staying around Philly gives him the opportunity to get closer with some of his teammates.

- Second, a big move either at D or C. I don't think it's realistic to believe Danny is going to find a 1C and 1D in the same summer. But if he can find a way to fill one of those gaps, it'll be huge for this team's future. This team has been built incrementally to this point, but I think it's gonna take a couple big moves to push them into the next tier of teams.

- Third, don't fuck up the draft. Keep it simple - best player available at whatever position. We'll need affordable reinforcements if our young core pans out over the next 3-5 years.

I am married to a natural born US citizen. We just recently went through the I-130 process and were approved. I came to the US in 2002 on a visitor's visa. My family claimed asylum but because the visa had also expired I was only granted withholding from removal status.

Do I need to have my original case dismissed before I submit my I-485? There seems to be a bit of confusion at to whether I need to or not

Reposting because I forgot to add a picture:

I just racked my mead and I'm concerned about the amount of headspace in my secondary. Is this ok, or do I need to fill the space with something?

I feel like I see this question a lot, but I'm still not exactly sure why extra head space is an issue, so I just want to confirm.

My parents are replacing their front garden with a front porch. My mom says she can't take care of the garden anymore because it hurts too much. She's not in terrible shape, but she gets really bad back pain while weeding.

I was thinking for mother's day I might buy her a raised planter box so she can grow flowers on their new porch once it's installed. But that also seems a little utilitarian to give her as a mother's day gift. Does anyone have ideas for things I can give her instead of or in conjunction with a planter?
