Can anyone on zoloft relate/give advice please?

I was on 50mg of Zoloft (Sertraline) for nearly 7 weeks. The side effects never reduced...AT All. I would get maybe 5 or 6 hours of partial relief some days in the evening but everything would come roaring back the following day. Unbelievable anxiety, tremors, barely sleeping, tightness in head, dizziness. I dropped down to 25mg 3 days ago and am feeling much better already. I'm going to stay on 25mg for a week to see how I feel.

My question is has anybody else done the same and how did it work out. Will 25mg still work for anxiety? Is this a temporary reprieve or will I stabilise at 25mg now? I'm happy to stay on 25mg indefinitely if it stays like this. Thanks to anyone who replies.

I've been on 50mg for about 6 weeks now after having a panic attack that lasted 4 days. I was on 50mg for about 2 years previously and stopped about 6 months ago.

The first 3 weeks were brutal. Non stop anxiety/panic, night sweats, insomnia...etc. I'm certainly having better moments now. Some days I can go 5/6 hours without rampant anxiety and I think it's finally working but then the following day I can be consumed with anxiety for most of the day. It also has the added bonus of making me depressed. Has anyone else had a similar experience when starting/re-starting the meds at 50mg? It seems like the anxiety should be calming down a lot more often at this many weeks in? Thanks in advance for anyone who responds x
