Jawar ki roti - by andhra ammai

Hey people! 23F here, originally from Andhra, currently surviving the Bangalore hustle 😭
So today, after years of eating it at relatives’ houses, roadside dhabas, and hearing “you don’t know how to make this yet?”, I finally attempted my very first jowar ki roti completely by myself.
And let me tell you… this was NOT easy 😭
The dough had trust issues, the roti kept breaking apart like my patience, and my kitchen looked like a flour cyclone had passed through. At one point I genuinely thought I’d just give up and order dosa.
But somehow… after all the struggle, burns, panic, and emotional damage , I MADE IT.
A slightly uneven, imperfect, but fully edible jowar roti 🫶
As someone from Andhra living away from home in Bangalore, moments like these hit differently. Learning to make traditional food on your own feels weirdly emotional. It’s like carrying a tiny piece of home with you.
Never thought I’d feel this proud over a roti, but here we are 😂
Adulting level unlocked, I guess.
(I knw its a small but it is edible )
