The world is broken.

A thousand realms, each a small piece of the world, suspended in nothingness. Each trapped in time, fated to repeat a single day, endlessly, on into eternity.

The perfect prison.

But not one without flaws. Be it through strength of character, some magic unknown, or simply luck, there some who resist the machinations of the Realms. These precious few, known as the Awakened, retain their memories across the endless resets. Perhaps it is naught but a greater punishment compared to those trapped in blissful ignorance. Or, perhaps, it is a chance. The faintest glimmer of hope, in a world surrounded by darkness.

There is a castle, floating in the starry night sky, wreathed in a veil that hides it away from the Realms, in which resides the mage Kestrel, and a sanctuary known as the Haven. There, a group of Awakened known as the Wayfarers traverse the nothingness that splits the world, known as the Fugue, searching for a key with which to unlock the manacles that bind them all.

The world was a dangerous place before it was shattered, and the Realms remain so. With no end in sight, the Wayfarers risk their lives clutching at that gossamer thread of hope as if it were a lifeline, traversing realm after realm, and uncovering whatever secrets they might hide. But they must be careful what they disturb, for there are those that watch with the Realms with eyes unblinking.

The prison does not long permit those who challenge its authority.

Hello people!

I am recruiting for a larger-scale, story focused game, set in a series of demiplanes, all trapped in time. The setting is influenced strongly by Ravenloft and the Domains of Dread, and will have much of the same gothic fantasy vibes. We're looking for engaged players interested in exploring the countless realms trapped within the Fugue, and uncovering their secrets, in what will be a hybrid of a larger pbp server and a standard, plot-and-roleplay heavy game.
