Hi, I'm meeting with some admins in my school next week (post-secondary education) regarding some "behavioral concerns". I asked for documentation of the things administration said concerned them (i.e., "concerns about your mental health have been brought up, we've removed you from your practicum placement because of this", "it's been brought up that you've been high in class", etc.)

Upon asking for documentation, I was told "[admin] does not have access to or copies of records from external agencies", but I believe the above was not sent externally, as my practicum was as confused as I was.

I wanted to know if administration is violating FERPA laws here by not showing me the records they have regarding this information? I'm working with some administration in the Dean's office, but I wanted to ask whether it does violate FERPA or not before I bring it to the meeting.

Thanks in advance!

▲ 5 r/plural

literally agonizing. that moment when you're best friends with both the host and an alter in her system and the two relationships are completely different from one another in a way that makes stuff complicated and you guys live in different states and also you haven't had the courage to actually sit down and discuss your own plurality yet because it's just not a convo to have over text (for me personally), forget having a chance to actually talk about all three of us.

not rly looking for advice, i know the complications and we do discuss it when things come up, it's just hard to navigate long-distance for us. just want to vent to ppl who are also systems and r slash did was kind of shitty when i tried to talk about this.
