I'm preparing to do an AT drain and fill and wanted to see what fluid everyone is using. I considered purchasing a few quarts from my local dealership and it appears the correct part number is 00718-ATF00. Could anyone confirm if this is the right replacement fluid or perhaps any other suggestions? I plan on getting about 6 quarts and I don't mind paying extra for OEM
I’m a bit concerned about the transmission fluid level on my 2000 4Runner. It shifts perfectly, but I decided to check my fluids as a precautionary measure and that’s when I noticed that the level looked off on my dipstick. The first picture was after a 60 minute drive with the car running and in park. The second picture was after a 30 minute (10 mile) drive and it still looked well below the cool line. Also with the engine running and it park. I’m going to look for any leaks underneath the vehicle, but I wanted to see if anyone else would agree that my transmission is low on fluid.
