Just started racing this week. Got my first sim rig, got it all set up. Entered my first Mazda series wasn’t pretty but most of all. I had a BLAST! Tried our formula but preferred the sports car rate so over the last few days have done a couple races here and there. Got my podium last night and was just loving every bit of it!
Made me think, this isn’t a bad as I’ve feared with rookie lobbies and crazy drivers.
Then today…. Nothing was going right, was getting taken out by people coming back in tracking purposely looking to take others out in their misery. I was driving poorly distracted by those moments, and just couldn’t find my groove. Then the last race of the evening. Great start. Clean turn 1. Going into turn to gave the other driver on my inside extra space just to be safe and kind. Which it put my on the inside for the next corner. But on the short straight to the next corner, he purpose turn right (while still on the straight) and completely took me out and he continue on. I wanted to give up. But went to the pits. Took the 2 minutes of repairs and just finished the race.
Ended up getting my D license after the race, but I felt like I couldn’t enjoy it because of that guys straight malicious move.
Just wanted to vent that’s all.
But still living the experience!
