Now I have a nice new wheel and got to have a nice convo with a Formula 4 driver!
Had my T80 for about 7 years and I finally found a good deal for a G29 on marketplace. I really want to learn stick so my next goal is to get a shifter, then maybe build a stand for everything. Hardly played this before but since I got this wheel I’m practically living on AC, so much fun!
i’ve been playing more sim racing lately and i’m at the point where a wheel feels like the next step, but i also don’t want to buy something and then feel like i need to replace it in a few months
would it make more sense to spend a bit more upfront for something better, or is the best racing wheel for beginners still something entry-level? just trying to avoid wasting money long term, thanks
I'd like to thank in particular to u/Swimming_Jury_8919, for sharing his project here a few months ago, along with the drawings and general dimensions for his rig. That's the only reason i was able to build this wonderful setup.
Here is the link for his post in case anyone is interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/simracing/comments/1k8b3b3/diy_wooden_rig/
Ignore the ugly floors but finally got around to managing the cables and jesus i cant stop staring lol
(I use it everyday so excuse my pedal plate)
Just got them in today and maan they are pretty sweet!
I am using the gt racer 2.0 with my moza r5 and crp2 pedals. the issue im experiencing is the pedals dont have great adjustment so they are basically 90⁰ and you have to have the seat back a ways to be able to use them without having to bend your ankles too much. however when doing that the wheel is an entire arms distance away and im not quite sure if there's anything I can do.
any advice is very helpful

New monitors, the other ones aren’t doing it?
I am planning on upgrading my gear soon, I am currently using the fanatec csl pedals on my csl dd, I want 3 pedals with loadcell so I can become more consistent when braking. I am debating on which pedals to buy, they are both at similar price points and from reviews perform somewhat similar. So wanted to hear some advice from the people of Reddit :)
Being offered these 2 cockpits for a very very good price, and was wondering if anyone else has it as I couldn’t find any reviews online.
Hey guys, I've just finished finalizing my pedal setup and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
I used aluminium profiles to make a sort of stop that would allow it to brace against the wall (I don't have room for a simrig and without the brace it just kept on tipping) and it's working really well even with the brake mod.
So if you're still working out on how to use the SRP pedals without a rig then maybe you should try the same.
Paired with rubber lockable office chair wheels, this really is the best setup for me to balance workflow and simracing.
Hope I helped some people with this post!
Update: Although the reason it stopped working was not found, using the tool Resize Raccoon worked (center screen needs to be the main screen). Most of the places I've googled never mentioned this tool so I did not knew it. SRWE or ACC Window manger were always mentioned but were not working in my case. Never more testing, but at fist testing AC + ACC and AC Evo worked.
Hi. Posting here as someone may had the same issue or have any ideas.
So, I have a triple screen setup with the following hardware:
All the monitors are connected via Diplay Port 2.1 Cables. I have this for a while and all I had was Eyefinity create the one monitor setup and then I played AC, ACC or AC Evo without any issues on my full screen. But I stopped playing for a few months and restarted.
My issue is now that I'm unable to get ACC or even AC Evo with the 3 screens. I did a bunch of testing and reconnections trying to find what was happening but without success.
Basically the game opens, the 3 screens are in use, but only the left side of them is being used and off course, with a weird resolution, like 7680x1440 but only on the left side of the 2 screens.
After a lot of hours I started to be focused on one thing I've noticed: after using Eyefinity I noticed the Native Resolution and the Desktop Resolution was different. Windows recommends the use of 2560x1440 and not the 7680x1440, like he could not handle it.
(Sorry I tried to change Windows to english, but it stayed 80% PT and some things in EN, a mess! But I thing the idea is still easy to understand).
So, my screens are perfectly setup, all with the same resolution, depth, scale and framerate:
After joing the screens I get this:
Checking all the monitor modes we have:
And in AMD settings nothing special, all settings the same for the monitors.
Note: don't focus on some screenshots showing color depth 10 and others 8, they were just taken in diffrent testing scenarios.
Things I've tried:
Always the same result, hence I believe it's not Eyefinity (although it worked before) and started focusing on the native x deskop resolution.
I don't believe it's something with the cables either.
Any more ideas to test? I've tested all I can remember and saw googling around, but cannot understand the issue.
thanks and sorry for the long one, but needed for context
