i was reviewing past mayoral campaigns and came across a proposal from Ed Ackerman to pay motorists $10 for visiting the North End. the trick is that the funds would be conditional on motorists spending the $10 *in* the North End (thereby increasing revenue for businesses and GDP).

to me, this is a no brainer for our city. does anyone know which candidates have already committed to including this in their platform?
