hello guys! I started crocheting loupy studio’s scrunchie bag when I was a complete beginner and my tension was too tight. when I got to the final part I had the same number of stitches to sew the ending with the beginning, but I had adjusted the tension so it was a completely different size hehe. I ended up keeping it that way but in my last use the cord inside ripped and so I decided that I was also gonna repair the strap. the first pic is when it was ready to use the first time, and the second is now without the inside cord

I need your guys help to know if I can cut the inicial part (pink) and just sew the blue part (last pic) on the final part since the size is more similar. thank you in advance!
