My first book comes out in exactly a month, and it's through Draft2Digital. I want to make an author profile on Goodreads, but my understanding is that I should have an author website first, so the Goodreads librarians can confirm my email address that I put on there.
Now, my question is will Goodreads accept websites created for free, that aren't your own domain? For example, will the *.wordpress.com condemn me? Has anyone had experience with using a free website when creating their Goodreads author profile?
(And to be fair, I would love to have a website that's my own domain, and plan to invest in one in the future. However, seeing as I've just finished uni and already paid for my ISBNs, that's just not an option at the moment :') So free alternatives it is!)
