RTX 3060 ti / 5700X3D is my PC.

I saw a CS 2 pro-player using this monitor, is also OLED (good in everything compared to the Zowie, only difference is Zowie has better motion clarity). It has 480 hz+ (future proofing me for GPU upgrade / CPU in the future if I decide, I'm already satisfied with my 5700X3D and I think everything else is overkill.

It looks like a pretty decent monitor to me for basically every type of game, on top of it this monitor has 24 inch support for competitive shooters, which is good when I play CS.

I think I'll go for this one, is the same price as the Asus Rog Strix XG27QDPG - 500 hz. But the Sony has those competitive size adjustments, which will be cool I guess? Some of you guys who have the Sony, can you recommend it fully?

Hello,

I’ve liked both of those models, same panel I think? 500 hz both of them, but the price difference is like 100€ between the two (one is 700€ the other is 900€).

I know about the joystick problem on the Samsung, is this the only case? From these two who is overall better?

My PC specs: 3060 ti / 5700X3D

I have 3060 ti / 5700X3D and right now my monitor is IPS 144hz 1080p 27 inches AOC

I’ve been looking into a lot of models, but I don’t know which to go for? I have a lot of budget, but I don’t want to spend everything on a monitor.

Let’s say around 600-700€ I’m willing to spend maximum.

I’ll be happy if it’s 360 hz, because in CS I achieve those frames.

I wonder which one to choose for my specific configuration?

RTX 3060 ti

5700X3D CPU

In CS I’m noticing various FPS 280-300-400, stable 300 most of the time. In story games my PC is nowhere capable of running at 360 fps, not even 240. I can manage a 120 fps in some of the games by tinkering settings.

What made me consider the Gigabyte model more is it has newer gen OLED I think? Better brightness and overall better colours than the Asus one, it will be my first OLED and I don’t think of changing it anytime soon.

I consider myself a decent CS 2 player, I have above-average stats even on my current 144 hz I’ve reached lvl 10 faceit under 300 games. I have 93-94 aim, I’m not a bad player. Around 4-5k hours in CS

So I’m overthinking if I’ll miss out on the 360 hz, I’ve never played on anything above 144 hz so I don’t know. I’m by any means not a serious player (desiring to go pro), but I’m a sweat.

Story games like RDR 2, GTA (examples). I love to play and grind when I take a mental brake from any comp game. So I think for me personally the 280 hz model will be the best choice for me. Also considering the DSC problems that 3xx0 series cards have with black screenings and etc due to higher hz’s than 240/280, I’ll be saving myself from this trouble as well.

What do you guys think? I’m probably getting annoying with my posts, I’m sorry, but is just my first ever expensive monitor and I’m scared to not get the wrong one. Thanks in advance and have a nice day.

EDIT: My current monitor is AOC 27” 144 hz G2G4 IPS panel

I did some research, people really love OLEDs, but in-fact I’m not satisfied paying so much money for something that has potential permanent risks, burn-ins, etc and I have an iPhone with OLED display and is good, but not that impressive for me and important.

I’m a CS 2 player, currently around lvl 9-10 Faceit, I achieve around 280-400 fps, 300 most of the time are very stable. Resolution and specs: 1280x960 / 3060 ti / 5700X3D. I have 5070 ti upgrade in my mind right now to do until the end of this year so I think doing a monitor upgrade now and lastly focus on my GPU later is what satisfies me on the inside.

Why an IPS and why I’m doubting the Zowie, I do watch movies, anime (very rarely, like maybe 6 months / 1 year I watch anime), but mostly movies and youtube videos. Zowie on the other hand I’ve read is specifically created for CS only, I do play CS, but is like 70/30 atm for me. I have other games and not every day I play CS. Sometimes I want to chill in GTA or Elden ring for example.

OLEDs on paper are amazing, but I don’t like the risks. I may be stupid, but I mainly want the new monitor to be same durability as my current one (AOC 27 IPS 144 hz), I’ve been using it since 2019 till now. 0 issues for such a long time.

I do have a budget in mind, 600-650€ max I’m willing to spend. OLED is out from my consideration, I’ll be very anxious about it and that’s not good for me, I think I’ll be more focused on the monitor rather than having fun when playing. I’d love to see your recommendations! Also I’m happy with 1080p variations
