AITA for letting these two people cut me in line?
I am 22(f) but at the time of when this happened I think I was around 13 or 14. I went to Las Vegas with my volleyball team at the time for a tournament. My team and I went to the fair that was a few blocks down from the hotel we were staying at. I was in line for the Zipper ride with my group of friends. There was this old lady behind me with a breathing machine hooked up to her. Keep in mind, I’ve been in line longer than she has. Suddenly, this older girl comes up to me (she looked about 18) and says “is this the line for the Zipper?” and I was like “oh yeah, it is.” and then she asked “is it okay if I cut behind you?” and I was like “yeah sure.” I mean, how could I say no as a 13-14 year old? She called her friend (or boyfriend) I’m not sure, over, and they stood in line behind us. I start to hear the old lady behind us commenting and saying stuff to the girl and her friend. Eventually, the two people just moved in front of my group of friends without asking and then the old lady looked at me and was like “not cool. I guess your time is less valuable than everyone else’s here.” Then, 5 minutes later, her kids came who looked like they were in their twenties. She started telling them that the couple cut and me specifically is the one to blame. But, if we want to use her logic, then, wouldn’t her kids also be cutting everyone else? Wouldn’t their time be less valuable than everyone else? Heres and important detail as well, I was wearing a necklace that had my name on it. So now, her kids and herself were behind me and my teammates in line. I was talking with them trying to ignore the situation but suddenly I see her hold up her phone and take a picture of me, as well as saying “her name Is ______.” Obviously, as a CHILD, this freaked me out?! So, I turned around and took my necklace off, and I called my dad and mom on my phone. When the old lady noticed me on my phone, I saw her go on hers and it looked like she might’ve deleted the photo or something. So then, while I was on my phone, her son, who looked 25 maybe was like “Oh no, ______, whats wrong??? Are you okay??” in a mocking tone. He kept on saying stuff like that, mentioning my name, until eventually my mom came over because I also called her and told her about the situation. I was crying and the old lady kept pointing in my face and yelling at me while my parents yelled at her. Eventually, my teammates and I just left the line because I wouldn’t have even enjoyed going on the ride anymore.
