I’m planning on going into business/finance long term, so recruiting and job opportunities matter a lot to me. I also like the idea of having strong technical skills if I go the Berkeley route!!
But honestly, one thing I’m worried about is the social scene. I’ve heard University of Chicago can be pretty intense academically HAHA and not as big on going out, and I don’t want to end up not enjoying college yk.
On the other hand, I feel like I’d definitely have fun at UT, and the balance there seems better.
For University of California, Berkeley, I’m not sure how the social life compares, especially with how hard CS is.
Some things I’m thinking about:
Finance/consulting recruiting strength
Social life / having fun
Alumni network
Flexibility if I change paths
If you had to choose, what would you pick and why? Especially if you’ve been to one of these schools, I’d really appreciate your perspective!!!!! 😓😝
