I have an ecobee premium thermostat that I bought 6 months ago. It’s connected to my Apple HomeKit setup and I really like it. Posted quote is for a Bryant dual fuel heat pump and legacy gas furnace. Sales guy says it works natively with my existing ecobee thermostat.

Where I live average winter temp is 34F, occasionally down to 20F. System I’m buying is dual fuel in case it’s really cold and power goes out. I have a backup whole home Generac. Summers are 80-90F.

My existing system is a 22 year old Tempstar furnace with a 16 year old 4-ton R410 refrigerant compressor. It works fine, but I’m afraid it’ll fail at some point (like when I’m out of town on a work trip) and cause a disaster. Plus I’d like to save some money on utility costs with a new system.

This quote is the cheapest at $16.2k. The other three quotes were more: Lennox $17.8k and Mitsubishi HyperHeat $18.7k.

Any advice? Thanks guys.
