I’ve got a Rode XDM-100 that I really like, currently mounted on a boom arm using the stock shock mount. The only issue is that the shock mount is huge and takes up a lot of space in my setup.

I’m trying to get something closer to a Procaster-style setup where the mic mounts directly to the arm.

Is there:

- a smaller mount/clip that works with it?

- a way to screw it straight onto the arm with an adapter?

- or is the shock mount basically mandatory?

I know I’ll lose some isolation, but I’m willing to trade that for a cleaner setup.

Curious what others are using.
