I would like to add some natural looking highlights to my virgin hair while keeping my base it's current color. See current photo of me in white tank and my inspo image which is a screenshot from tiktok. I went to Sally's and bought some bleach and color but after looking through posts on here I am not sure if I have the correct items. Can someone please look through this process/products and let me know if there is anything I should change?

  • Weave highlights and apply a mixture of Quick Blue extra strength bleach with 20 vol developer to hair on foils and rinse after 40 minutes. (should I shampoo?)
  • Once hair is atleast 80% dry, re-weave out each bleached selection and apply a mixture of Excellence Creme permanent creme 8.1 with 20 vol developer over foils. For the bleach sections I want lighter highlights, repeat the same process of weaving out the bleached sections and apply a mixture of Wella colorcharm permanent cream 8A with 20 volume developer. (I figured I would follow instructions on the box for how long to let it sit for)

Some of my questions include should I be using permanent dye if I plan on re-highlighting my hair again in the future once it's grown out? I want most of the highlights to be the excellence cream color, should I apply that over my whole head and just seperate out the lighter sections and use foils there with the wella cream? If I put the dye/develop mixture over my whole head, will it lighten my hair even if it's not bleached?

Much appreciated!
