Hi
Could anyone offer any advice with regards to how the supermarket/ high street school uniforms compare in terms of sizing please? Also, any ideas as to what dates the shops are likely to have their uniform / kids‘ clothing offers on (I know it’s probably a little early just yet).
My son is starting secondary school in September and I’m hoping to plan ahead for uniform. As we live rurally, I will need to order most of it online and return what doesn’t suit.
He can wear generic grey trousers and blue shirts for secondary. For primary, we mostly bought Dunnes uniform (which were a good fit for him) but he finds their trousers a bit lightweight in colder weather. I’m planning to order a few bits from a couple of different shops to start us off and see what fits. He is slim build but slightly on the tall side, so a lot of trousers drown him in the thigh area. The adjustable waist and grow-proof hem on the Dunnes trousers have been great so I’m hoping to get these in his secondary uniform too. I’m just a bit stuck on what sizes to order him as I’m not sure which of the supermarkets might be bigger / smaller fitting. Any advice would be great! Thanks
