Openly racist employee??
Title says it all, I was doing last minute shopping at Target just now, and when I was in the self checkout area I overheard an employee being weirdly racist towards two customers who were Asian.
They pinged for help and he came over, did whatever, then starting asking them “What are you guys, BTS?” laughed, and proceeded to say “No BTS over here?”.
I really don’t know what else to say. I know this seems far fetched and I wish I was joking. They seemed extremely uncomfortable afterwards and the fact that this person seemed comfortable enough to make such a blatantly racist comment to their face AND in front of people was so upsetting to me. My question is, do I report this? And will they even do anything about it?
EDIT: I understand again this post may seem far fetched, I myself have never experienced or been a bystander to such blatant ignorance which is why I don’t even know how to begin to go about this. I will be making a report in the morning. Thank you all for the suggestions.
