3WPO Small Rant

I only want to wear my support bra when I go to sleep 😅 my boobs itch like HELL. When I ask my surgeon about my limitations, he said it's all based off my comfort level so I feel like I'm in the dark here. Pros and cons to wearing the support bra 24/7? I feel like if I wear the bra all the time, my boobs won't get acclimated properly, but I worry if I don't wear the bra, they'll lose their perkiness and start sagging.

Finally tape free after taking long ass warm showers for the past week, peeling all the tape off little by little.

Hi! Someone asked me what I put in my hospital bag and wanted to share my response with the community.

I was only at the hospital for about 5, 6 hours. I didn't need a hospital bag as they discharged me and I walked out the door like 30 minutes after waking from surgery. However!! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this masectomy pillow, it's been a life saver and comes with a seatbelt cover for after post-op, gel packs for ice and heat treatment, and pockets for lots of things so you don't have to reach.

A pregnancy pillow too for when you're home! Keeps me in place when I sleep so I'm not rolling around and feels like a big hug.

I had a huge appetite for the first few days as my body recovered so I would say lots of crackers and applesauce (since the anesthetic makes the tummy sensitive).

I got several packs of cheap tank tops to wear under the surgical bra they sent me home with, this was advised by my surgeons office to help easy and chafing. Putting the tanks over my head sucks but to remove, just cut it up. It's not worth pulling and stretching the incisions.

For showering, I use this unscented "magic" soap https://a.co/d/00MWm2QY for everywhere else that's not my chest, I haven't washed my hair since the surgery bc I'm scared of the shampoo running over my incisions. I just let the water run GENTLY from over my shoulders so I'm not facing the spray.

EDIT TO ADD: Throat lozenges!!! Cough drops!!! I needed to pop one as soon as I could after waking up, my throat felt RAW.
