It's a Predator PO7-650, DG.E39EZ.00E, in case you want to check the specs.

I know about Rule 7, but I think it's important to evaluate what happened to determine whether my idea is actually good.

The processor (i9-13900KF) was defective, so I sent it in. Since I live in Europe, it was shipped to their repair center in Italy.

It came back with a new graphics card (4090), processor, and motherboard, as well as a lot of dust.

I can't add pictures to this post. I made the same post on PCMasterRace if you want to see the damage.

The device had already experienced two BSoDs at the repair center (on March 17; it was sent back the same day), but they sent it back anyway.

The cables are all over the place; one wasn’t connected and was broken off. The rear fan is constantly running at full speed and isn’t detected by Predator Sense.

When I remove two of the RAM modules, it runs fine (except for the fan). The results of the Furmark test are also good.

Customer service isn’t addressing the damage and wants me to send the device back to the same repair center. I don’t want to do that, especially since they never acknowledged that the damage was caused at the center.

I’ve been thinking about using the 4090, the power supply, and maybe the SSDs for a new build. These are the parts I’ve picked out:

  • AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • CORSAIR Vengeance, DDR5-6000, 64 GB, CL30 (without RGB)
  • MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk WIFI
  • Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 (Black)
  • Noctua NF-A14 PWM chromax.black.swap
  • Fractal North XL Charcoal Black with mesh panels and walnut front

Before I start contacting small PC shops in the area, I wanted to ask the community if this is even technically possible and if you have any suggestions regarding the components, or any other tips I should keep in mind when getting offers.
