Makeup tips to highlight my features

Hi everyone,

I’ve never been a makeup enthusiast and never felt confident in my makeup skills. So, I gave up trying. However, I’ve lost a significant amount of weight and feel much better about myself. I’m considering adding makeup to highlight my good features, such as my eyes and cheekbones, and to blend away any imperfections like my long face and signs of aging.

I haven’t done my own makeup in almost two decades, and I’m unsure what would look good on me in my 40s. I’d greatly appreciate recommendations for products and techniques.

My skin is generally good, not oily, but I do occasionally get rosacea, which appears as a pinkish-red rash near my nose. I currently exfoliate my skin twice a week using glycolic acid, wash it with a cerave facial cleanser, and moisturize with L’Oréal revitalift moisturizer.

I’m looking for mid-range products, but I’d be willing to splurge on high-end products if they truly enhance my appearance. I also appreciate any bargains you recommend, but they’re not a necessity in terms of budget.
