Guy [19M] Ended Things Abruptly and I [19F] Never Got the Reason Why. Why do you think he ended things?
Hi! So I (19F) and the guy let’s call him A (19M) started talking during our first week of college. I at first was not interested with him at all but my friend (let’s call her G) who was talking to his friend (let’s call him B) kept trying to set us up. I finally started thinking he was cute and decided to give him a chance because I liked his personality. We ended up becoming locked in really quickly and we were always together.
He even got mad at me at one point because he thought I was just trying to mess around and he wasn’t the type for that. Apparently G had told B that I was just trying to mess around and B went and told A that. But when i confronted G she said she had never said anything like that and I believe her. During this conversation he said that he wanted us to be exclusive which i agreed with and then we had the what are we talk in which he was like this is definitely not a situationship and I think we’re way more than talking now and I also agreed with him. He then said he wanted us to put a label on it but I felt like we were moving too fast so I told him that I want us to put a label on it just not yet. He then said so we’re basically in a relationship just without the labels and I said yes and he said we could take it slow but he didn’t seem very happy with this.
During all of this he was still talking to his family friend and he said he would have a talk with her and stop talking to her for good. I told him I wouldn’t get into anything with him if he was still talking to her and he fully agreed with me and understood. He then had a phone call with her and when he finished the call he looked like he was about to cry. That obviously got me upset and I didn’t say anything but my friend who witnessed the whole thing went and told him how i felt upset. Then one saturday night me and him had a conversation because he said we needed to talk. In that conversation he said he felt like I didn’t communicate how I felt enough and he felt like he was always hearing how i felt from other people and that he wanted things to work between us. I agreed and said i’m new to opening up my feelings like this but i’ll try harder and that i also want things to work between us. Then sunday night we hang out again and then monday we don’t see each other for the first time since we started talking and then by tuesday i could tell that something switched up.
Friday night his friends come over to my place to pregame and we all go to a party together i end up seeing him and B there later and i go to talk to him because i hadn’t talked or seen him properly all week and during that talk he finally tells me that we should just be friends. We were both really drunk and I ended up blacking out during this convo so I don’t remember what was said besides the fact that we should just be friends and that he has too much going on to give me any time.
B ends up telling me a few days later that apparently A has some personal stuff going on that he can’t tell me about and that’s why. A tells me the whole it’s not u it’s me thing and that he has a lot going on. His other friend ends up saying that A told him he just saw me lustfully but I don’t believe that because everyone i’ve told about this told me there’s no way he did because of the things he used to do for me. His friends from back home knew about me and would call me his girl and he had me pinned on messages and there was much more like the things he would do for me while I was sick that i won’t get into. Also I know he stopped talking to his family friend as well. So please someone tell me why do u think he ended things.
