Miranda House: Can a vocal, non-leftist science student survive the social scene without being 'canceled'
I’m a science student considering Miranda House, but I have some concerns about the social "fit." I’m a feminist, but I’m strictly not a leftist but a neutral person who might have fragments of right. And i might sometime let my opinion out As a defense services aspirant and an athlet, I value discipline and practical thinking over campus activism. I’m not looking to get involved in politics, but I’ve heard the "vocal" majority at Miranda can be quite intense if your views don't align with the dominant leftist lining. A few questions for current students: If you’re outspoken but non-leftist, do you end up being socially isolated or "labeled" by the vocal crowd? Is the Science/NCC/Sports community a good bubble to stay away from the campus political noise? is the environment too politically charged for that?
I also value my mental peace. Would love some honest perspectives on the ground reality.
